Lo 1 1b Flaming Cliffs Set Up Email Account

I have tried various ways to get lockon to run on vista but this is the only one that works perfectly. I have looked on this forum but no one has spelled it out this way! So here goes. Do not install into program folder. Create a folder called Ubisoft inside whatever username folder is in c:/users/username/.e.g.: c:/users/username/Ubisoft, and install into Ubisoft. If you have a cd, stop autorun and use explore and right click on setup.exe and run as administrator. If you have downloaded version right click and run as administrator and install into the Ubisoft folder.

For Flaming Cliffs, right click on the the 274 meg LO_1.1b_Flaming_Cliffs_Setup version and run as administrator. The b version is vista compatable. Then for Modman.same proceedure: create a folder in c:/users/username/ folder and call it Modman: c:/users/username/Modman.right click and run as administrator and install into the Modman folder. No gliches, no errors, runs beautifully. With this new computer of mine I have it maxed out except for medium on water and I do not get popups. It's amazing.see things i never saw before.

I always install applications on separate partitions, recovery/restore points should be sent to another drive also. All this since there is so much traffic on C: with countless number of small files created and removed.

And ala UNIX style I have D: 8GB with no files only I given it to windows and tell it to use all of D: for swap, min size and max size of the file same value so it is created once and stay there that way. Also ofcourse turning off swap on C. If you manage to arrange it the swap partition should preferably be between C: and the application drive E: F: G: H: and so on. Think about the disk arms movement. If you run programs off C: which the computer does when it start take them from C: and with low probability also swapping on D.

Then you start som heavy program on E: and have the swap closeby on D: but if you have so much main memory that software on C: is not likely to cause swap you can place that partition between the application partitions. This is all if you only have one disk. If you have several disks you can get better performance by putting the applications on the second drive and C: and swap on first, the remaining space on C: used for documents movies pand pictures.

So when running the app it will be read from one drive and windows will be able to swap actively on another drive so you can create a little more concurrency in the disk accesses. But on these ultrafast drives to day it is hard to notice the improvment. It was more important in the old days.

No the main reason today is easier to defrag smaller partitions, easier to back them up or to create mirrors of only the stuff you are interested in no mirroring all you've got etc etc etc. More managable.

Nope, I installed the 1.12b patch right over top of the newly installed 1.1 from the dvd that arrived yesterday. Is it possible the 1.12b is a complete version of the game, and I just purchased it? Meaning I thought is was an update but is in fact a full digital version of the game?
