This game is an abomination and I feel like an idiot for falling for the hype. The loot system is annoying, having to grind for hours just in hopes to get one freaking Skill.

Doing the same mission 176 times (THAT'S THE ACTUAL NUMBER) just to get four Dragon Balls was aggravating beyond belief. Why can't I just buy these with my 500,000,000 Zeni that's lying around? Grinding isn't fun! The AI only makes this worse. Sometimes you have to keep a certain character alive/above 50% HP to get the Ultimate Finish and get your chance to unlock the skill. But they'll fly into walls and just sit there and let themselves get shot while you can't do anything about it. I remember in the 'Potara Warrior' mission, Super Buu was such a dumbass that whenever the enemies were to use an Ultimate Attack like the Super Kamehameha, he would literally stand perfectly still or fly right in front of them just to get shot and die in seconds.

The boss fights are awful. They don't flinch, and they deal a truckton of damage. The Beerus & Whis fight was a nightmare because both Beerus & Whis were both non-flinching double HP bar bosses and Trunks is a complete idiot who spams his ultimate that never hits anything and dies ridiculously quickly. Xbr4 Lcd Manual. Another thing I noticed is that you can't heal your allies in the Time-Thingies. The Secret Bardock mission forces you to protect Bardock, but you're going up against tons and tons of Soldiers who are almost as strong as he is and he gets his ass kicked! What's the point of an item that heals all of your allies if it doesn't even heal anyone but yourself?! The Story is awful!

I want to be able to fight alongside the heroes in their journey, and the Time-Thingy idea worked fine if it wasn't the same thing for every freaking Saga and we actually got to understand our villains before the very, very end of the game. Mira & Towa aren't even mentioned again after you beat them save for the ending video! There is also A LOT of content missing, and it's completely transparent as to why in some scenes.

Why do we never get to feel the terror of Frieza with our own character? Instead he just somehow skips to his Final Form and our character proves he/she is still Lord Kickass and Frieza looks like a wimp. Why is the Cell Saga non-existant? It's just the ending fight at the Cell Games and absolutely nothing else!

And the Buu Saga, why is there no Buutenks, Buuhan, Vegito or any other of the staple fights in the show? WHY IS THE ENTIRE STORY MODE SO TERRIBLE?! I hate this game! The few good things about this game is that Character Creation is pretty cool, you can buy SOME skills at a shop, and Demigra's Final Form looks hilarious.

You can play parallel quests and online and offline versus with in game characters but that's it. I was hoping for some classic gameplay, but i'll live. The story mode is great so far. Please, inform me, does it improve the game in any way? Or does it just make it larger? Y'know, I'd revisit this game, despite my hatred for it. It's like a puppy.

No matter how angry you get at it, and no matter how much you hate it, it'll still win you over with how cute it is. Or in Xenoverse's case, how fun creating your own character and setting them on a journey actually was.
